Thanks for this week’s great playlist! I’d already been listening to the latest Squirrel Flower album and am really enjoying it.

I’ve been working my way through some of these new albums by the new (to me) artists on your post and there are a couple standouts for me. I’d never heard of Blue Ocean and I’m really enjoying what I’ve heard of Fertile State. Likewise for Crosses - I think I’m really gonna enjoy this album based on what I’ve heard so far!

And I’m really glad you posted CMAT. I heard the album in passing the other day and it kinda passed me by. For whatever reason, after listening to the EP and going back to the album, it’s grabbing me much more this morning.

Not sure whether you’ve listened to Coyote by Dylan LeBlanc, but if not I highly recommend giving it a spin. I’ve spent some time with it every day over the last week and it’s already very likely earned a place on my top 50 for 2023.

Yeah, Squirrel Flower's latest is really a nice surprise for me. Thought her debut was overrated and missed the last one because of that. Thought I'd check in with this new one and quite like it.

CMAT was the same for me and my pod buddy insisted I try it again and it is a great pop album. Haven't heard Dylan LeBlanc but I'm intrigued! Thanks for the rec!

Long running fan of the Deftones and particularly Chino. Crosses is amazing and I've gotten to the stage in thinking he'd nearly be better off ditching Deftones altogether and just concentrating on them. As much as I love Deftones they've kind of become formulaic over the last while.

The more I listen to this great new Crosses album, the more I'm inclined to agree. That may also be because I thought Ohms was the first one to not offer something fresh imo.

Now a Team Sleep followup, that would excite me!
