It's always a good day when we get to hear new GospelbeacH songs! Plus, the latest from Animal Collective, Nation of Language, Strange Ranger, CHAI, and a cut from Neil Young's fabled 'Chrome Dreams'
So excited to hear the new GospelbeacH. I guess EPs and singles are how they’re doing it now. I’ll take what I can get but I do hope there’s more coming down the pike!
We're in luck, Steve! No date yet, but the plan is to have an LP out sometime in the fall. I know they're working on it, so I'm happy to wait a few more months! I hope it also includes "It's Too Late" from last year. What a lovely song.
As for whether that Clientele song sounds like Eels, I get the similarity, but both are essentially derivatives of so many melodies from pop bands of the 60s that I don’t see it as a rip off at all. Also, the tempo of the Clientele song is much more languid. That said, I do like the Eels song much better. The music video is awesome. E. Looks like a 60s British mod in it.

That Earwormz playlist is stellar. Thank you!
That makes my day. Really appreciate it! It's fun to have a big playlist like that with a broad, yet specific criteria.
