One of my favorites from last year. Though all of their albums have been favorites for me, including Sideways to New Italy. “Cars in Space” was a massive earworm for me on that one.
Seeing this headline, I wondered if time had taken a little of the shine of this record. It absolutely has not. I'm playing "Dive Deep" as I type this. It's still a track that demands to be played loud. Hopefully my neighbors like it as much as we do.
Had that same question when I threw it on last night. I think it's going to continue to age well as it doesn't really get stuck in any current trends. A real timeless sound. Also, "Dive Deep" ends side A of the tape, which is perfect sequencing. Leaves you with that minute of hiss after thinking, "wooooooaaaahh!"

I do love "Cars in Space" too! Was disappointed with the non-singles at the time... maybe time for a revisit.
